EXPANSION OF THE AUTHORITY OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION TO PREVENT, DETECT, AND TERMINATE FRAUDULENT CLAIMS FOR OASDI AND SSI BENEFITS.

(g) [42 U.S.C. 405 note]  Annual Reports on Reviews of OASDI and SSI Cases.—The Commissioner of Social Security shall annually submit to the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Finance of the Senate a report on the extent to which the Commissioner has exercised his authority to review cases of entitlement to monthly insurance benefits under title II of the Social Security Act and supplemental security income cases under title XVI of such Act, and the extent to which the cases reviewed were those that involved a high likelihood or probability of fraud.
