Serving our customers today, in 2025, and beyond!
Welcome to Social Security Administration's (SSA) “Vision 2025” web page! As technology and society change and develop in the upcoming years, we are envisioning how to better serve you and work more efficiently as an agency. We are in the process of developing a long-range vision and strategic plan for SSA, and we want to share with you some important details about our efforts. Most importantly, we invite you to share your ideas about how SSA should serve the public in the next 10 to 15 years.
Vision 2025 represents our long-range planning to ensure we continue to provide excellent service to our customers today, tomorrow, ten years from now, and beyond. So far, in our planning process, we have:
- Conducted an environmental scan - Systematically analyzed SSA’s business and customer service environment to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Engaged our external stakeholders - Congress, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), advocates, the Social Security Advisory Board, and many others.
- Engaged our internal stakeholders - Our employees, labor unions, and management associations.
We captured the feedback and ideas from all our stakeholder engagements. We found both groups of stakeholders offered similar ideas that we are calling “emerging themes” or concepts that we will consider as we draft our vision document.
