There is extensive online help, including Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and step-by-step tutorials on Social Security’s web site www.socialsecurity.gov/employer. The FAQ link is on the left side of the screen. For tutorials, select “Learn How to E-File Using Business Services Online.” You don't need to be a registered BSO user to open and learn from a tutorial. And you can follow it at your own pace any time it's convenient for you, either for learning the first time or a refresher if you haven't used BSO for a while. The step-by-step instructions include "screen shots", too – actual samples of the screens you'll see when registering for Business Services Online or using any of the services after you've registered. Help is always available while you're using any BSO system also. Just select the "Help" button on a screen to open Handbook instructions to the page for the screen you are working in. And if online tips and information were not helpful, contact an Employer Reporting Technician at (800) 772-6270 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday.
