This bar chart compares the average monthly benefit for men and women who are disabled workers, disabled widow(er)s, or disabled adult children. It shows that male disabled workers have a higher average benefit ($882.50) than their female counterparts ($661.60), that widows have a higher benefit ($523.80) than do widowers (($361.70), and that benefits for disabled adult children differ little by sex ($521.20 for women and $515.80 for men).
