The History of SSA-related Legislation is a chronological listing and annotation of SSA-related legislation from the 98th to the 108th Congresses (1983-present). It is a summary of legislation affecting SSA, including changes to the Social Security Act, legislation requiring action by SSA in support of or in coordination with other agencies or state government, legislation affecting all Federal agencies, appropriations and requirements for special reports or studies. The History Report is a resource for research by SSA employees and the public and will be continuously updated.
