There are three ways for participating companies to connect to the CBSV system. As a CBSV company you may use one or all three ways. It is
your choice.
Real Time Response Web Service
The CBSV Web Service is designed to support interoperable machine-to-machine interaction over the Internet. This provides instantaneous response and handles
volumes easily. With the Web Service, companies create their own, unique interface with CBSV. If you are a developer who works for a company that plans to
access CBSV through a Web Service, recommend that you refer to our
CBSV Web Service Documents.
Real Time Response Internet Online
CBSV allows you to request online verification of up to 10 names and SSNs at a time and receive instantaneous results. There is no limit to the
number of times the CBSV Verification web page may be used within a session or within a day. The CBSV Online service requires you to have Internet
access and a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or FireFox. Your browser version must allow ‘cookies’
(files store temporarily on your computer) and have 128-bit encryption.
Batch File Process
CBSV allows you to request Name and SSN verifications through overnight batch (electronic file) submissions. The batch file process requires you
to have Internet access and a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or FireFox. Your browser version must allow ‘cookies’
(files store temporarily on your computer) and have 128-bit encryption.
Each of these three ways to connect to CBSV is described further in
