The OAO branch will establish and maintain controls and respond promptly to all incoming correspondence on cases undergoing search and/or reconstruction. Although branch personnel may be unable to give substantive responses to some questions, they must provide, at a minimum, a status report on the search or reconstruction efforts. The OAO branch will diary the case for follow-up every 30 days (15 days for critical cases) concerning the status of the search/reconstruction efforts.
