I-1-2-59. No Fee Authorized Under Fee Petition — Procedures

If the fee authorizer decides not to authorize a fee, the authorizing staff must prepare an order to explain why.

Rationale for the action.
Notice to the representative that he/she may request an administrative review of the order and that the request must be made within 30 days after the date of the notice (see I-1-2-61, Fee Petition Administrative Review).

The fee authorizing staff will distribute the order in the same way as the SSA-1560A-U5 (see I-1-2-58(C.)).
